FAQ
What are 3D Wall Panels Made From?
Depending on the panel, our 3D Wall Panels are made from PVC, MDF, wood and felt, you can learn about the specific composition of each panel in the product details. The composite construction allows our 3D panels to be lightweight yet remain durable and long lasting.
What are 3D Wall Panels?
3D wall panels are a type of wall cladding which add unique dimensional style and visual texture to interior walls and ceilings. Unlike flat panels, 3D wall panels use convex and concave shaping to create three-dimensional modelled projections and recesses for added depth. Instead of a simple printed design, 3d wall panels engage the interior with physical textures.
Are 3D Wall Panels Soundproof?
It depends on the material. Some acoustic 3D wall panels like our slat wall panels made from sound-absorbing felt can dampen noise. Decorative 3D panels may not reduce sound transmission on their own but add dimensional style well-paired with insulation or audio dampening boards.
Can You Cut 3D Wall Panels?
Cutting depends on the material. It’s possible to cut our PVC, MDF and slat wall panels to custom sizes or shapes using a table saw, jigsaw or sharp knife based on the respective material. Take care with delicate materials like felt or PVC. Consult a professional if you are not confident undertaking the task yourself.
Are 3D Wall Panels Removable?
Whilst our 3D Wall Panels are meant to be fixed to your walls long term with permanent fixings, such as screws and adhesive, they are easily removable as they do not use grout, but rather an interlocking groove system. This prevents wall damage during installation or if repositioning panels. Some panels may also be screwed into place.
How To Hang 3D Wall Panels?
First mark panel layouts and positions on the wall. Use levelling tools to ensure even alignment. Apply adhesive to the back of panels. Firmly press panels into place and lock in with the tongue and groove system for a seamless finish.
