Acoustic Wall Panels
Gaming Rooms | Home Theatres | Technical Environments
Designed with felt-backing, acoustic panels give designers greater control over the movement of sound, to enhance the auditory experience in both commercial and residential properties. These panels reduce external noise pollution and mitigate internal reverberations, helping to accommodate technical requirements in home working spaces and to enable higher-fidelity soundscapes.
Acoustic Slat Wall Panels
Our acoustic wall panels combine vertical wood-effect slats with sound-absorbing felt backing. Each panel features wood veneer slats (3 sided wood veneer finish) positioned over felt material that helps reduce echo and improve room acoustics. These wooden acoustic panels work well in home offices, gaming rooms, and media spaces where clearer sound makes a difference.
The felt backing absorbs sound reflections that would otherwise bounce around the room. This reduces that echoey feeling you get in rooms with hard surfaces like concrete, plasterboard, or tile. These sound dampening panels provide a practical soundproofing solution that sits between purely decorative wall treatments and professional acoustic solutions.
Design & Installation
Available in multiple wood finishes including natural oak, walnut, and grey tones, these acoustic board panels for walls serve as both decorative acoustic cladding and functional sound panels. The vertical slats create visual texture and can make rooms appear taller. They fix to walls using a batten system covered in our installation guide.
These soundproof panels for walls work effectively as feature walls or partial wall coverage. They're particularly useful in home theatres where sound clarity improves the viewing experience, study areas where reduced echo helps concentration, and meeting spaces where clearer speech reduces listening fatigue.
Acoustic Properties
These panels help control sound within the room where they're installed. The felt backing absorbs mid-range frequencies where most speech and everyday sounds occur, making conversations clearer and reducing the harsh reflections that hard surfaces create. The slat design breaks up sound waves whilst the felt material converts some of that sound energy into small amounts of heat.
The acoustic improvement becomes noticeable when soundproof panels cover around a quarter of the wall area. This creates a more balanced sound environment - rooms feel less harsh and voices carry more clearly. These sound panels also provide some reduction in sound transfer to adjacent rooms, though this is a secondary benefit to improving acoustics within the treated space.
